I dont know why you would not buy a real seal but anything is better then dead in an emergency. In an emergency an improvised Occlusive Dressing can be a life saver. It’s best to have a real one in your kit. they run about 25 bucks. and you could easily make out of plastic and tape. But I carry this and a cheap extra.
